- SQG (Small Quantity Generators) - Produce >100Kg but <1,000Kg hazardous waste/mo
- LQG (Large Quantity Generators) - Produce >1,000Kg hazardous waste/mo
Each category has distinctive regulations that must be followed under penalty of law.
The E-Manifest System is a new system that began July 1, 2021 that reduces of replaces the paper manifest system that has been in place for decades. Manifests are the official shipping documents that are required when shipping hazardous wastes.
The E-Manifest System will enable the EPA, DOT, State Agencies and hazardous waste generators to more effectively track, record and store hazardous waste shipping documents. Source One Group Inc will train company representatives in the use of paper and E-Manifest systems.
Generally the answer is no. However as in most instances, individual States can implement their own set of regulations, as long as they are as strict as federal EPA regulations. Certain States require paper or electronic manifests for hazardous waste shipments from VSQGs. Source One Group Inc will identify which States have these or other more stringent regulations and consult with our clients how they affect their situation.
Anaerobic digestion is the conversion of organic matter found in solid and liquid wastes and materials into methane gas which is used to produce electricity, heat sources, steam and other energy options, replacing fossil fuels. Anaerobic means without the presence of oxygen so the digesters are covered tanks, pits or containers that use microbes to break down organic matter into methane gas. Source One Organics Inc will evaluate your wastes and by products to determine whether they qualify for anaerobic digestion and at what cost.
PFAS are a large group of man made chemicals manufactured since the 1940s around the globe, including significantly in the US. They are used in a variety of manufactured products including non-stick cookware, fire-fighting foam, stain resistant fabrics and hundreds of other applications. PFAS are known as “Forever Chemicals” because they do not break down but accumulate in the environment and in the human body. Many scientists believe that every human on earth has PFAS in their blood stream and these substances have been proven to cause many diseases and disorders, including cancers. The EPA is now placing PFAS testing, evaluation and management near the top of their priority list. Source One Group Inc offers consultation, testing, evaluation and management of PFAS found in water and biosolids.
